Over the course of the coming year, the FHS will work with the representative from the Vermont Historical Society to develop advanced skills in approaching its work from within an Active Collections framework. Project components in this grant-funded program include an online resource center, workshops, hands-on training, and direct assistance on self-selected collections-based projects. Over the coming year local historians aim to establish their collection priorities, right size their treasure trove of materials, and energize and engage community members to ensure the continued preservation of local history.

Newly elected officers include Jared Cadwell, president; Katherine Cadwell, vice-president; Andrea Henderson, secretary; and Patti Lewis, treasurer. The next meeting is Sunday, December 14, from 3 to 4:30 at the Fayston Town Hall. Everyone is welcome.
