Mad River Glen hosted a Young Adult Patroller (YAP) ski and toboggan clinic on Saturday, February 28, attracting 11 youth participants.
The participants were from Mad River Glen, Sugarbush and Sunday River. According to Dr. John Wilson, the Mad River Glen YAP advisor, the YAP program is designed to get those interested in ski patrolling at a younger age. Viki Garvin, RN, is the YAP advisor for Sugarbush. Requirements for each program include maintaining CPR certification, attending the fall refresher, and four training weekends throughout the ski season.
