The Harwood Union High School Theater Department is in rehearsals for its upcoming spring musical production of Hadestown: Teen Edition. The show, a high-energy adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s acclaimed Broadway hit, will run for four performances from Thursday, April 2, through Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The production presents a contemporary reimagining of two classic Greek myths—the tragic love story of Orpheus and Eurydice and the tale of King Hades and his wife, Persephone—on the Harwood stage. Featuring Mitchell’s genre-defying music and poetic storytelling, the show promises a moving and memorable theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

The show features senior Aiden Heath as Orpheus, juniors Eireann McDonough as Eurydice, Tarin Askew as Hades, Julia Wulff as Persephone, and Mar Greene as Hermes. Also featured are seniors Maddie Stephan, Nina Henzel, and Indigo Lees, juniors
The show is directed by Scott Weigand, with music direction by Molly Desrochers, and choreography by Mary Chudzik. Kenrick Fisher is the lighting designer.

“This show is not just a modern retelling of classic myths; its themes still resonate today. It’s not just a love story, but a story about the struggle between the haves and have-nots. It is a challenging show that these students have worked hard to present. I think everyone will be moved by their performance,” Weigand said.
Show times are Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door (cash or check only) at $12 for adults and $8 for students.
