Sugarbush Race Club Donates $1,560 to Vermont Adaptive

Sugarbush Race Club (SRC) made a donation of $1,560 to Vermont Adaptive, a leading organization providing adaptive sports programs for individuals with disabilities. The donation, raised through SRC’s fundraising activities for the 2025-26 season, was presented on Saturday, March 21, at Mount Ellen by Ray Bollerud, SRC president and Gary Leonard, club member and Vermont Adaptive Volunteer. They were joined by Oliver Silberstein, program coordinator at Vermont Adaptive and participant Harry Houng-Lee.

Vermont Adaptive at Mt. Ellen offers year-round programs for individuals, veterans, and groups of all ages with any disability. Operating seven days a week, its dedicated staff and trained volunteers provide skill training, assistance, and specialized equipment, ensuring that everyone can participate in outdoor sports and recreational activities.

“We are thrilled to support Vermont Adaptive and their incredible work in making outdoor sports accessible to everyone,” said Bollerud.  “This donation reflects our club’s commitment to giving back to a program that enables disabled individuals of all abilities enjoy the beauty of Vermont’s outdoors.”

Sugarbush Race Club, a 50-year-old race and social club based at Sugarbush Resort, has over 140 members. The club hosts winter races, weekly social hours at local restaurants, and summer activities, welcoming both skiing and non-skiing members. Through its events and initiatives, SRC fosters camaraderie and community engagement.
