Richard (Dickie) W. Lemery, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon, August 11, 2018, at the home of a friend in Waterbury. Born in Montpelier on December 30,1951, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Mary C. (Deal) Lemery.

Dickie graduated from Harwood Union High School in Duxbury in 1970. As a young man he worked for his father at the Lemery Citgo Station on South Main Street in Waterbury, he later worked for Lemery Electric of Waterbury Center, and most recently for Russwood Co. as a painter and drywall taper.

Dickie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and sports of all kinds; he was a golfer and former member of the Blush Hill Country Club and Harry N. Cutting American Legion Post # 59 S.O.L.

Dickie is survived by his sister, Diane Mongeur and her husband Marcel of Waterbury; his companion, Charlene Peirce of Duxbury; and a very large and extended group of family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Duxbury on Friday, August 17, at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow at St. Leo’s Hall in Waterbury. Please join the family at one or both.
