Lia M. Ware, 65, died on Sunday, November 2, 2008, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, after a long illness.  Born in Tartu, Estonia, she lived in Waiblingen, Germany, for 30 years. She married Army Retired Sergeant Major Bennie Ware in 1968 and lived in Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, and various towns in Germany before settling in Pennsylvania. She was an avid gardener and walker, and she loved cats. She was a former employee of Bookspan in Mechanicsburg, PA, Caesar's Resort in Paradise Valley, PA, and the following companies in Germany: Stihl, Vedes Toys and Milton Bradley.

Daughter of the late Karl and Hanna Torro of Germany, she is survived by her husband, Bennie W. Ware of Dillsburg, PA; her daughter, Alva M. Ware-Bevacqui and son-in-law Louis Bevacqui of Fayston, VT; her grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Bevacqui of Fayston, VT; her sisters, Tiio-Mai McCurty of Estonia and Virve Kangro of New York, NY; her brothers, Ivalo Randalu of Estonia and Lembit Torro of Estonia; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews in Estonia, Germany, California and Texas.

Her private funeral was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Lung Association or the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
