Arthur F. Ronner of Williamstown, VT, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

Art was born in NYC on August 6, 1947. He was the second son of Raymond G. and Elizabeth (Flaherty) Ronner.

As a "city boy," Art's bond with nature developed through his many childhood summers spent in the Pennsylvania and New York state countryside coupled with his active involvement in Boy Scouting.

Over a lifetime, Art guided those around him to walk with nature, to observe and reflect in unobtrusive ways. He was a diligent custodian of the lands he proudly owned. His love and respect encouraged even the most apprehensive to commune with the beauty around them. His many canoe camping treks further enhanced awareness of the beauty of unencumbered nature.

A master electrician by profession and a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 300, Art traveled nationwide for his work. In doing so, he developed acute perspectives on human nature and always returned home to Vermont with stories that livened many a conversation.

Art was a man of deep love, great heart and caring. He is sorely missed by many including his family, Mary, Dan, Kyler and Maxwell, Rebecca, Jim and Amy, and his dearest friend, Andy.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Art will be welcomed by the Green Mountain Club, 4711 Waterbury-Stowe Road, Waterbury Center, Vermont 05677.

A celebration of Art's life is planned for the weekend of June 27. All are invited to attend to share stories and remember Art. For more information please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
