Frank Charles Canerdy passed away January 11, 2010, at the age of 81 in Prescott, Arizona. He was born in Montpelier, Vermont, to Charles and Edna Canerdy on March 29, 1928. Frank grew up in Waterbury and Waitsfield, Vermont.
 
Frank served in the Army during the Korean War. After his service to his country he moved to southern California, where he met and married the love of his life Wanda Loftis. Together they raised their three sons making their home in Whittier. He was a resident of Whittier, California, for over 30 years.
 
Frank was an engineer for the fire department in the City of Monterey Park for 30 years. After his retirement in 1983, Frank and his longtime friend Captain Gene Norgard and friends built his beautiful house in Prescott, Arizona, where he was a resident for 22 years.
 
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Wanda, son Mark, brother Jess, and his parents.
 
Frank is survived by his sons, Steve and Greg (Sherry); six grandchildren, Candice, Jolene, Lauren, Chase, Christine and Cody; and one great-granddaughter, Caprice.
 
A service will be held for Frank on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California.
