Linda L. Graham, 58, of Winooski Street, Waterbury, passed away in the comfort of her home and family on Monday, June 21, 2010. Born in Stockton, CA, on August 29, 1951, she was the daughter of Marilyn (Harvey) DeForge and the late Francis C. DeForge. On June 16, 1984, Linda married Michael S. Graham in Waterbury.

A 1969 graduate of Harwood Union High School in Duxbury, Linda went to work at the former Bank of Waterbury for two years and then embarked on a career in the insurance industry.  Beginning in sales for the Stowe Insurance Co., Linda became the Waterbury manager when the company purchased the Breen Agency of Waterbury. She later worked in sales for the Everett Insurance Agency and then Denis, Ricker and Brown Insurance, both of Montpelier. For the past 10 years Linda was a rate and form analyst for the state Banking Insurance Securities and Health Care Administration in Montpelier.

Linda served her Waterbury community as a member of the Village Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Village Trustees where she also served for several years as the board secretary, and was a "red phone operator" for the Waterbury Ambulance Service for many years. Linda served on a number of insurance advisory boards, both at the state and national level, and was a member of the Vermont Association of Insurance Women.

Linda was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and was a member of the state bowling league for the past 15 years at Twin City Lanes, and loved to travel and go to the beach and NASCAR races, but most importantly she loved being a wife, mother and becoming a grandmother.

Linda is survived by her husband of 26 years, Michael Graham of Waterbury; her mother, Marilyn Zeno of Waterbury; her daughters, Kristin Graham of Hyde Park and Caitlin Graham of Waterbury; her granddaughter, Nevaeh Brown of Hyde Park; three sisters, Susan Morse and her husband Wade of Duxbury, Ruth Noel and her husband Clement of Underhill, and Nancy Grout and her husband Kris of Duxbury; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A brother, Steven DeForge, predeceased Linda.

A service to celebrate the life of Linda L. Graham will be held from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury on Monday, June 28, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the church dining room.
