Robert A. Robinson Sr., 67, of Warren, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at
Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
He was born February 18, 1943, in Pittsfield, VT, the son of Wyman and
Phyllis (Mills) Robinson. He was raised in Pittsfield and had lived in
Rochester and Bethel before moving to Warren in 1975. He was married to
Cheryl Anne Shepard in Rochester on July 6, 1968. She passed away in
2004. Robert helped build the Killington Ski Area, worked as a logger
and for 35 years worked on the road crew for the town of Warren. He
enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing and being with his family.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Robinson Jr. of Waitsfield and Brian
Robinson of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Brenda Briggs of Williamson,
NY; brother, Richard Robinson of Warren; sisters, Betty Pierce of
Randolph, Bessie Wood of Rochester, and Barbara Swain of Newport, NH;
four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at the Day
Funeral Home in Randolph, VT. Contributions in his memory may be made
