Harwood’s girls’ lacrosse team dropped their second game of the season to Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) 11-6.

The Harwood Highlanders played with urgency as time ran out in the second half and they came up short on Monday, May 1. GMVS leapt out to an early lead and they did not have trouble keeping it.

However, in the last minutes of the game, the Highlanders were able to rally for three goals, decreasing the deficit.

Even with the loss, Harwood coach Katie Pike remains positive with how the team played. If they could just push the urgency up in the game, the Highlanders could be in good shape.

“I think that our team is starting the season playing as a team. We’re looking for the passes on the field,” Pike said.
