In the girls' 100-meter dash, Paige Cleary, a sophomore at Harwood, finished first followed by Kelsey LaCroix, a Harwood junior, in second. Caitlin Touchette, a freshman at Harwood, was in the fourth spot.

Trey Kiendl of Harwood took first place in the boys' 100-meter dash.

The girls' 200-meter dash saw Harwood capturing first and second place with Kelsey LaCroix, a Harwood junior, in the number one spot followed by Caitlin Touchette, a freshman at Harwood, in second. Harwood's Shannon Maloney finished in the eighth position.  

Trey Kiendl came back to also win the boys' 200-meter dash. Taylor Jones, a Harwood junior, was in third place to add to the Harwood scoring. Michael Paplovich, another Harwood junior, was in the seventh position.


400-METER DASH

The Harwood ladies appeared to own the 400-meter dash taking all top five positions. Top honors went to Sophia Lisaius. Paige Cleary and Caroline Gilbert were second and third spot finishers with Katharina Maier in fourth place followed by Sarah Moore in fifth.

The boys' 400-meter dash had Harwood once again taking all top positions. Trevor Cook was in first place, Dylan Peterson in second, with Chris Camp in third followed by Michael Paplovich in the fourth spot. All of Harwood's men in this race are juniors.

ON TO THE 800-METER RUN

The girls' 800-meter run had the Harwood ladies losing to a Fairfax runner, Jessica White, but catching up by taking second, third and fifth. It was Sophia Lisaius in second, Kelsey Bush in third, and Katharina White in the fifth spot. While Fairfax picked up 10 points, Harwood had 16 points for their team effort.

The boys in the 800-meter run captured first place along with second and third. The Harwood stars in this effort in order of finish were Joe Yalicki in first, Zack Munroe second, and Will Maloney in third.

In the girls' 1,500-meter run, again it was Harwood on top with Jillian Mendes in first gaining 10 points, and Kelsey Bush in the second spot for 8 points. Janice Guion contributed to the Harwood point total by taking fourth place and receiving two points.

BOYS' 1,500-METER RUN

Once again it was all Harwood with the runners taking the top three positions. Sophomore Nick Wisniewski took first, with junior Colton Crowley second and freshman Nathan Cutler following in third.

IT'S ALL HARWOOD

In the girls' 3,000-meter run, the Harwood ladies took the top three places. It was sophomore Jillian in the number one position with freshman Kaitlin Mayberry second, followed by Chelsea Robinson in the third position.

Five Harwood boys took five scoring places in their 3,000-meter run. First place went to Nick Wisniewski again, followed by Colton Crowley again in second, with Nathan Cutler in the fourth place, Branden Kennedy in the fifth spot and sophomore Dakota Benjamin finishing in sixth place.

Junior Ally Bataille gave Harwood another first-place finish. This time it was in the girls' 100-meter hurdles. She was joined by Cecilia Scribner, a Harwood senior, in third place.  

In the boys' 100-meter hurdles it was junior Josh Kernan taking first-place honors.

THE 300-METER HURDLES

Ally Bataille repeated with another first place this time in the girls' 300-meter hurdles. She was followed by Harwood freshman Shannon Maloney in second place.

In the boys' 300-meter hurdles it was Harwood junior Zack Pfister in first, Josh Kernan in second and freshman Spencer Salinder in fourth.

RELAY RACES

The Highlanders took top honors in all the relay races. It started with the girls' 4x100 meter relay. First place went to the Harwood team made up of Ally Bataille in the first leg followed by teammates Caitlin Touchette, Kelsey LaCroix and Paige Cleary.

In the boys' 4x100 meter relay it was Harwood again with Trevor Cook, Trey Kiendl,  Zack Munroe and Zack Pfister taking the winning spot.

Then it was onto the girls' 4x400 meter relay. This time the Harwood winning team was made up of Ally Bataille, Paige Cleary, Katharina Maier and Sophia Lisaius.

The Harwood boys contributed another victory in the 4x400 relay. The runners were Trevor Cook, Justin Romanoff, Zack Munroe and Joe Yalicki.

In the girls 4x800 meter relay the Harwood girls did it again. This time the team was Caroline Gilbert, Katharina Maier, Kaitlin Mayberry and Sophia Lisaius.

The Harwood boys also repeated, this time in the 4x800 relay. Their team was made up of juniors Ben Horn, Joe Yalicki, Dylan Peterson and freshman Zack Munroe.

FIELD EVENTS

In one of the few times that Harwood did not capture first-place honors was in the girls' high jump, but Cecilla Scribner contributed second place with teammate Keelia Tiptak in third. The high jump was won by Emily Pelsue of Vergennes.

But the Harwood boys jumped back and took first place in the high jump with Dylan Peterson gaining the honors.  Third place went to teammate Michael Paplovich with fifth place going to fellow Highlander Bob Strauss, a sophomore.

It was on to the girls' long jump where freshman Kelsey Shea finished fourth, with Keela Litak in fifth, and Janice Guion in seventh position. The event was won by Northfield senior Hannah Blackmer.

Harwood settled for second place in the boys' high jump.
