The Harwood varsity girls’ and boys’ cross country teams both finished second in the Northern Vermont Athletic Conference cross country championship at St. Johnsbury last Saturday, October 22.
The varsity girls were led by Jaime Thomas who won the race with a time of 21:01, a new course record. Ellie Ramsey finished 5th, Alice Woodruff finished 11th, Laurel Whitney finished 16th and Hannah Woodruff finished in 20th place.
Varsity boys were led by Geordy Aitken who finished 4th, Nathaneal Kazlow finished in 7th place, Geoffrey Kazlow finished 8th, Nathaneal Kuzio finished 11th and Sam Nishi finished 12th.
The JV girls and boys also had strong showings with Harwood's India Harvey placing second and Olivia Nishi placing third. The boys’ JV team was led by Jacob Palmerio who finished second and Caleb Kessler finished third.
