To the editor,

Many thanks to the amazing staff at the Inn at Lareau Farm, the Schenks for donating the use of the pavilion, and MRVTV for helping make the first Conservation and Recreation Visioning (CRV) community forum so successful. To the 100 people who attended -- thank you for participating. Your ideas, opinions and questions are the core of our work. Please stay involved and bring your friends next time (the next forum will be in late 2023 or early 2024).

Conservation and Recreation Visioning (CRV for short) is a grant-funded collaboration among more than 15 organizations across the Mad River Valley to balance ecological integrity and outdoor recreation. Based on community feedback, ongoing discussions between local stakeholders, and consultant-supported mapping and research, CRV aims to develop maps and a set of shared goals and guiding principles that together will provide a route forward for our community to achieve this balance.

On Thursday, June 15, the Steering Committee explained CRV, the work done in the past year, and the goals and deliverables of the project.
