To The Editor:
The board of directors of the Skatium would like to acknowledge and thank Kingsbury Construction for its assistance this past year. Last fall, a family of beavers took up residence in the field between Shaw’s and the Skatium. They blocked the culvert running under the road, causing a large backup of water that eroded our road and threatened to cut off access. Kingsbury Construction installed two metal plates, allowing us to keep the road open during the winter and saving our season. This summer, they replaced the culvert and rebuilt our road. We are very grateful for their assistance and excellent work.
