Mad River Valley Cares will be offering a community education panel discussion on COVID-19 on September 2 from 8 to 9 p.m. on Mad River Valley Television channels 44/244 and on Zoom. Panelists will include health professionals from The Valley, Harwood students and a business owner.

Panelists will explore the impact of the pandemic on Valley residents, businesses and organizations, the current state of the pandemic in Vermont, and what’s expected as schools open and the weather turns colder. They will also discuss the latest scientific guidance on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and the purpose of MRVCares. The panel will be comprised of: Catherine Mygatt Naden, MD, family physician; Liza Jernigan, Harwood Union High School senior; Claire Lindberg, PhD, RN, family nurse practitioner; Gretchen Kogut, Harwood Union High School senior; Mimi Bain, owner, Stoke Ramen; Gavin Thomsen, Harwood Union High School senior; and will be facilitated by Lauren Kaskey, MS, MPH, public health professional.
