The Mad River Valley Health Center is hosting the second annual Family Bike and Trike Sale. The bike swap, modeled after the Ski and Skate Sale, will be held at the Waitsfield Elementary School on Saturday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Buy a "new" bike in time to take part in the Valley Walk & Roll Festival events or sell a used one. Bicycles in good working condition can be dropped off on Friday, May 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. A free bike safety check will be available at the drop-off, courtesy of the local bike shops: Fit Werx, Inverness, Stark Mountain (Waitsfield) and Green Mountain Bikes (Rochester). Proceeds from the Family Bike and Trike Sale will benefit the Mad River Valley Health Center. When a bike sells, 80 percent of the sale price goes to the seller and 20 percent goes to MRVHC to support health education programs in the community. Bikes may also be donated to MRVHC for inclusion in the sale. For more information about the Family Bike and Trike Sale, contact Sue Frechette at This email address is being protected from spambots.
