Author Julie Frieder will share stories about family adventure at the Warren Public Library on Wednesday, October 8, at 5 p.m. This event is part of Frieder's Inn to Indie Book Tour as she cycles through Maine and Vermont, stopping at indie bookstores and libraries to talk about her book “Wonder Year: A Guide to Long-Term Family Travel.” Written after spending 13 months on the road with her family, Frieder's book was born from the experience of figuring out how to pull up stakes and hit the road for longer than a vacation. "Wildly inspiring and eminently practical," says Florence Williams, author of “The Nature Fix.” The presentation will cover what Frieder learned about planning and executing adventures, finding education on the road, and discovering that family travel doesn't have to be perfect to be transformative. This event is aimed at families interested in world schooling, summer road trips, and the educational power of travel, as well as authors interested in indie publishing. All ages welcome; the children's play area in the library will be accessible throughout the event.
