The Waitsfield Community Water System tank inspection and cleaning will take place on June 8. Starting June 9, the water system operator will be conducting the annual flushing of the water system hydrants and valve exercising. Town officials report that annual flushing of hydrants is an important water system preventive maintenance activity. Flushing maintains the integrity of the water system infrastructure and allows the system to continue providing high quality of water to service users. Citizens may observe large volumes of water being released. The system will be chlorinated at a low-level chlorine residual from Monday, June 1, to Monday, June 8, 2026.
