A smaller crowd turned out for the Aug. 3 Harwood Union Fun Run because of rainy weather, but participants still enjoyed an evening of competition and community.
Organizers mixed things up with both a 6K and 3K course for the event. The 6K featured a three-way tie for first place, with Vince Wing, Patrick Migonis and Brody Hackett crossing the finish line together in 27 minutes, 7 seconds.
Dan Dix followed in 27:30 to finish fourth overall. Alison Migonis was the first female finisher in 30:40, followed by Sierra Dix in 31:38, Harmony Devoe in 35:52 and Andy Metcalf in 36:09.
In the 3K race, Jacob Rye finished first in 13:26, followed by Serena Wilcox in 16:10.
Jackson Migonis served as the evening’s lead biker, helping guide the runners along the course.
The next Harwood Union Fun Run is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 10. The event is open to the community and supports the Harwood Union cross-country team.
