On September 29 Harwood Union defeated Lyndon in 3 (25-7, 25-7, 25-18). During the game senior setter Savannah Fulton led the team with three aces, nine assists, and 11 well-placed kills
Sophomore middle Isabella Pockoski put up five massive blocks to stop Lyndon’s momentum, she introduced her new jump serve with 12 serve attempts and had three aces and zero misses, three digs, and four kills.
Junior setter Natalie Folsom had three digs, had well-placed sets that led to 12 assists, and four kills. Junior outside Zosia Costanza crushed her serves tonight with six aces, five digs and two kills. Senior Lessa Dreimillier crushed the ball to earn five kills.
Harwood is now 7-1 for the season.
This week’s game followed a September 25 game when the Highlanders defeated Vermont Commons (25-17, 25-13, 25-5).
During that game setter Savannah Fulton had 10 aces, six assists, and six kills. Setter Natalie Folsom had five aces, seven assists, and four kills. Middle hitter Isabella Pockoski had two aces, three digs, one kill and two blocks. Outside hitter Aspen Linskey had three aces, five digs, and one kill. Libero Fiona Casey had eight digs and two assists. Middle hitter Lessa Dreimiller had four kills. This was her first game back after an injury on day three of the season.
Senior night will be October 6 at Harwood Union.
