Mad River Glen hosted its annual Kandahar race on Saturday, January 31, drawing 100 racers for the extreme course that only Mad River Glen could devise and produce.

This year the Kandahar race began on Quacky 1 in a field of moguls. Racers took off from the start atop the Sunnyside Double and plunged into Quacky 1 followed by Quacky 2 spilling them out to the top of Chipmunk followed by a fast left-footed turn onto Porcupine. The race concluded at the bottom of Porcupine where it meets Canyon at Chipmunk Bowl.

This year was the largest field of competitors with 100 racers. The fastest overall time belongs to Mark Wallace at 1:33.31. The fastest female skier was Addie Brooks at 1:38.19.

The event attracted local racers as well as out-of-staters. The fastest female skier, Addie Brooks is a member of the Mad River Glen Freeski Team and just finished first at Smugglers' Notch IFSA Junior 2* freeski competition on Sunday, February 1. Mark Wallace, who posted the fasted time is from Boston and is the owner of Parlor Skis.
There were GMVS racers, local ski racers, and plenty of alumni. Full results can be found online; https://www.madriverglen.com/racing-triple-crown/
