I have lived at Verd-Mont since 2009, with a two-year break when I rented my home. My time at Verd-Mont included a stint on the Downstreet board. The last few years I've found it harder and harder to contact Downstreet about issues. Reading the latest article in The Valley Reporter about the water system was a wake-up call. I thought maybe I was the only one with significant holes left behind my house after the water system "upgrade." Obviously I got off lucky; there are residents with much worse situations!

I'd like to add another problem. Currently residents of all Downstreet properties in the Mad River Valley are supposed to drop off their food waste at Evergreen. There is a single container (not particularly huge) for all of the food waste. Most residents don't even know about this requirement. This is one of the issues I've tried to raise with Downstreet, along with the holes behind my home.
