Silk Road comes to Localfolk Smokehouse

The restaurant at the Localfolk Smokehouse in Waitsfield will be reopening February 13 and 14 as part of new collaboration between Cousins Brewing, John Morse, and Waitsfield chef Savitri Bhagavati.

Bhagavati is opening Silk Road, initially offering Californian, Turkish and Lebanese dishes. Some items include fish tacos, a vegan broccoli bowl, flatbread with falafel hummus and more, Chicken Shawarma and savory Baklava.

Morse said that the collaboration is young and details aren’t fully locked in, but folks are encouraged to check it out and details will be firmed up shortly.

NBC will deliver coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games across TV and streaming platforms, beginning with the opening ceremony on February 6 and concluding on February 22.
