Voters will cast ballots four select board seats at Town Meeting in March.

Harvey Blake Warren SB Candidate

Harvey Blake moved to Warren full time in 2022 and was appointed to the select board in 2025. He is a member of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department and serves as a working member of the Boyce Hill management committee.

SHORT-TERM RENTALS

Blake works professionally as a certified public accountant, helping companies with financial strategies. He said that experience informs his interest in serving the town. “I enjoy serving the town as a member of the select board and feel I can contribute with my financial background,” he said.

Blake said the town faces several major priorities, including construction of the new town garage, the reappraisal process, new ordinances addressing short-term rentals, and potential consideration of a Local Option Tax. He said he would look to contribute to those efforts “in any way I can.”

CAPITAL PROJECTS

Devin Klein Corrigan, the current chair of the select board, has served the town since 2019, first on the development review board and then on the select board since April 2021. She said her work has focused on land conservation, infrastructure maintenance, and major capital projects, including the town garage.

Corrigan said she is running for reelection because she values representing the community and continuing work already underway. “There is beauty in the messy work of democracy,” she said, adding that serving as a steward of the town’s buildings, bridges and roads is meaningful to her.

If reelected, Corrigan said her priorities include overseeing construction of the new town garage, developing a capital improvements and maintenance plan, and supporting pedestrian and bicycle safety in the village center. She also said the board will discuss potential consideration of a Local Option Tax and future use of the current town garage site.

PUBLIC SERVICE

KenScott

Ken Scott brings decades of municipal experience from outside Warren. His public service began in Duxbury in 1993, where he served on the cemetery commission and select board, later becoming assistant town clerk, town clerk from 2000 to 2016, and town treasurer from 2000 to 2013. He also served as a justice of the peace from 1998 to 2016.

Scott moved to Warren in 2018 and has served as a justice of the peace for the town since 2019. He has not yet taken a position on potential Local Option Tax or short-term rental ordinance changes.

PRESENT AND RESPONSIVE

Joel Taplin Warren SB candidate

Joel Taplin grew up in Warren and returned in 2014 with his family. He works as a custom woodworker focusing on art and interiors.

Taplin was appointed to the select board last year after a call was issued to fill vacant positions. He said he is running to continue his service and complete a full term. “I feel like I am just getting acquainted with the system and would like to see a term all the way through,” he said.

Taplin described his top priority as being present and responsive. “My top priority is to show up and participate in whatever the town’s needs are,” he said.
