To the Editor:
Writing Monday evening, I've just come from a protest rally on the State House lawn at which it was announced that lawyers for two leaders of the Vermont "Milk with Dignity" migrant rights campaign have won a temporary injunction for their clients from likely deportation orders. Hundreds of persons turned out this evening to demand freedom for an unlawfully-seized father and his stepdaughter last Saturday (unlawfully because ICE itself has conceded there was no probable cause for border patrol agents to stop these people, drag them from their vehicle and detain them. Vermonters wanting to see justice done in this instance will rally at the ICE building in St. Albans, 63 Gricebrook Road, at 10 a.m. this Friday, June 20.
