To The Editor:
We, leaders of local Christian communities, condemn the rise of anti-Semitism we see in our nation, and, tragically this week, in our wider world.
Our hearts break with the victims and loved ones of the horrific murders of Jewish folks gathered to celebrate Hanukkah in Australia.
Hanukkah is, like Christmas and Yule, a celebration of light.
Let's not let our lights – of non-violence, decency, tolerance, and seeking the common good – go out, and may we shield the lights of others struggling in this darkness.
