Camp Meade presents its first-ever Jest Fest – Family Comedy Day on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, bringing a day of laughter, entertainment and community celebration in the heart of Middlesex, Vermont.

Beginning at noon, families are invited to enjoy a free afternoon filled with comedy, live entertainment, food and activities for all ages. Jest Fest is a fundraiser hosted by Vermont Comedy All Stars, dedicated to preserving Camp Meade as a prominent community gathering place. Proceeds from the event will help sustain music and arts programming, educational opportunities, facility improvements and community events at Camp Meade.

Vermont Comedy All Stars is a nonprofit founded in 2020 dedicated to promoting the comic arts in Vermont. VCAS has produced more than 120 stand-up comedy shows around the state since it was founded.

The daytime festival will feature youth performers, improv comedy, the acclaimed Red Trouser Show, children's activities, food trucks and more.

At 5 p.m., the event transitions into an evening of professional comedy. Admission for comedy performances after 5 p.m. is $15 per person.

    • 1:45-3 p.m. – Teen World
    • 3:15-3:30 p.m. – Improv Comedy
    • 3:45-4:15 p.m. – The Red Trouser Show
  • 4:30-4:45 p.m. – Improv Comedy

EVENING SHOWS

Admission: $15 per person (beginning at 5 p.m.)

  • 5-6:15 p.m. – Family-friendly Adult Stand-Up comedy by Deb Reiser
    • 6:30-8 p.m. – Adults-only Stand-Up comedy by Gordon Clark

Throughout the day, guests can also enjoy food trucks, children's activities, merchandise and more. The event will be held rain or shine, with a large tent providing sun and rain protection.

"With Jest Fest, we're adding laughter to that tradition.
